The photos on this page were taken 8-2-08.  This is a short easy hike off Crags Road.  Malibu Creek was dry most of the way to the Rock Pool on this date but you start to see water in the creek when you get close to the Rock Pool.  The Rock Pool at Malibu Creek State Park has water all year.        To get to the Rock Pool, near the second day use parking lot follow the "backcountry trails" sign heading toward the creek.  Cross over the creek and continue on Crags Road toward the visitor center.  Just before the bridge crossing over Malibu Creek to the visitor center, take the trail to the right (go to the right at the outhouses).  This trail ends at the Rock Pool.

Just before the bridge to the Visitor Center, take trail to the right of these outhouses.	This trail passes through a campground on the way to the Rock Pool.		A few pools in the creek bed start to appear.
