7-19-08 photos of
a hike around Malibu Creek in Malibu Creek State Park, located on Malibu Canyon Road near Mulholland Drive. Before this
land became a State Park it was owned by Bob Hope, Ronald Reagan and 20th Century Fox. The creek has water
all year, the area is very scenic and has miles of trails. The pictures on this page were taken on the trails very close
to the day use parking area not far from the main entrance off Las Virgenes Rd. Look for the "Backcountry Trails"
signs.
A trail map can be found on the State Parks website at http://www.parks.ca.gov/default.asp?page_id=25320. More detailed trail maps are available, ask for a copy at the entrance. Day use parking is $10 or use your State
Parks Annual Day Use Pass.
